  • In preparation for switching to a direct-to-consumer sales model, Volvo Car Sweden investigated the impact on the Sales Agents at the car dealerships and how service design could be used to assist them in an ever changing role.

    Our team was tasked to create a proof of concept mobile service to help Sales Agents “sell cars without a desk”.

  • Design sprints, thorough user research and interviews were made to map the daily work tasks of the Volvo Car Sales Agents to new IT systems and sales models. Key user needs and challenges were mapped to shape a solution that frees the Agents from the classic dealer desk and allows them to manage customer relations and sell cars on the go - anywhere, anytime.

    By reshaping the design language around clarity, simplicity and a stronger brand connection, the UI became the foundation for a suite of VCS native enterprise apps.

  • A highly successful Proof of Concept was released on the Swedish market in record time in 2023. The Sales app is expanding to cater to new business needs as Volvo get closer to a direct to consumer sales model, and to be adopted by further markets in the future.
